This inaugural edition of Courage & Conviction’s Visionary Collection is aged in some of the world’s most remarkable and rare ex-Sherry casks. The beautiful Spanish Oaks from which these very special casks were sourced grow sprawling and wild in only the north and west parts of Spain, making coopering a formidable challenge. The casks are matured first with Oloroso and then Pedro Ximenez style sherry, suffusing each stave with the distinctive, rich, dark flavors from these exquisite sherries. It is in these exceptionally rare barrels in Virginia’s unique Blue Ridge Mountain climate that our new make spirit develops its extraordinary character.
