Sam Houston 14-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is crafted from specific barrels in a private reserve of premium bourbon. The barrels were sampled, ranked, and then combined in extremely small, 3-barrel batches in each particular state. The taste has a pronounced rye spiciness that flows into a detailed offering of warm molasses, leather, and black pepper. The finish is long and well balanced. Traditional warming sensations capture a blend of lively oak notes and a peat-like earthiness.
