The blend, created by master distiller Brian Nation, comprises single pot still and grain whiskeys drawn from a batch of ex-Bourbon barrels with an age span of 12 to 32 years. Notes of mandarin and nutmeg with baking notes from warm raisin scones and old fashioned heavy cake on the nose. The expected dried fruit then emerges on the palate with orange peel, vanilla, baked pear and some fragrant apricot. More savory and quite dignified with touches of clove and green pepper on the finish.
