Tarnished Truth holds the distinction of being the first and only distillery in a hotel in the United States. The late Dr. George G. Moore had a great passion for single malt whisky and his adopted home in Virginia. A native Irishman, George came to the U.S. in the 1970’s to seek new opportunities. Belmont Farm Distillery

Until 30 years ago, whiskey for popular consumption, had been made in column stills, handling thousands of gallons per hour. Only at Belmont Farm, our whiskey is produced in a genuine solid copper pot still. While others may be flooding the market, our pot still whiskey is slow and handled with care, to preserve all of the aroma and taste of a fine fresh whiskey. Our copper pot still is truly the secret of our whiskey.

Blue Sky Distillery

The company is co-located with the Spring Lake Bottled Water Co. within the Isle of Wight Industrial Park in Isle of Wight County. Blue Sky Distillery is owned and operated by Mark and Kim Rangos. Mark and Kim are originally from Wellsburg WV and moved to the Carrollton VA area in 2010. Blue Sky Distillery is the first distillery in the state of Virginia to become a certified Virginia Green partner. This certification is an active commitment to minimize the environmental impact of our company.

Copper Fox Distillery

Rick Wasmund started Copper Fox in 2005, one of the first of the new breed of American distillers. But the fire started long before.
